NEW THIS YEAR!

In memory of our beloved Charlie Pirtle, NMOEA has started a separate fund that will give away ONE full scholarship per year.  This scholarship is available to anyone regardless if they have received a scholarship in the past.  Charlie was very fond of the outdoors, BOW and thought handwriting was a lost art.  The application process is simple:  write a 500-750 word essay on the topic “What Being Outdoors Means to Me.”  All essays must be hand-written (not typed) and legible.  The winner’s essay will be posted at the event in May and on the website.  A committee will read all essays and one winner will be chosen.  The deadline for submission is April 5th.   When submitting your registration packet along with the essay please include the workshop fees.  This will hold your place in your chosen classes.  If your essay is chosen your fees will be immediately reimbursed.  (Note:  Scholarship can only be won once)

Applications for scholarships require a letter explaining circumstances.  First time attendees who are single parents, full-time students, teachers and others in financially restrictive situations will receive first consideration. Limited number of scholarships are available.
